The Story

ITMS Sports was founded in Frankfurt, Germany in 1991 by expatriate New Yorker George Pascal. Drawing on the knowledge and international experience gained as a professional athlete, Pascal made the transition to entrepreneur seamlessly and quickly made a name for the thriving sports marketing agency.

While still playing on the international tennis tour in the mid 1980s, Pascal often saw himself taking on a double role – as an active player and as an advisor to his tennis colleagues. Players needed support and management and Pascal increasingly evolved into a marketing consultant and agent seeking and negotiating lucrative endorsement opportunities for his tennis peers.

Fittingly, ITMS Sports started in international tennis specializing in athlete representation, corporate and recreational facility development consulting, and the management and promotion of tennis events. As ITMS Sports expanded its presence globally, the agency soon diversified into new sport arenas, including golf, hockey, figure skating, and baseball.

Pascal realized early on that in order to deliver exceptional turn-key sports marketing campaigns, he would also need to offer a full range of highly creative and intelligent marketing services. This conviction led to the launch of ITMS Marketing as a sister agency in 1999. This full-service advertising agency was set up to offer clients top-rated services in the communications spectrum, including public relations, advertising, design, event management, sales promotion, and new media.

Today, ITMS Sports has partnered with some of the sports industry’s biggest names, including Major League Baseball and NFL Europe, as well as major global brands, ranging from Adidas to Wrigley. The agency’s portfolio includes relationships with Grand Slam tennis champions, World and Olympic champion figure skaters, elite golf players, and baseball superstars. ITMS Sports has also conceived and organized many successful international sporting events, from televised figure skating galas to Davis Cup ties. A professional golf tour ITMS Sports initiated would later become part of the European PGA Tour.
